ALUMNI V/S SCHOOL CRICKET MATCH
The Alumni played the School Cricket Team on 14 October 1998 at 2.30
pm.
on the school grounds - and much to everyone's surprise, did pretty
well. The alumni team lost with just 3 balls to spare.
The alumni batting first, scored 116 runs in 15 overs (Pretty good,
no?) The school team managed to score these runs in 14.3 overs. The
alumni presented trophies to 'The Best Batsman', 'Best Bowler' and 'Man
of the Match' which were won by Kaustub, Adil and Mayank (The
Captain)
respectively. Due to a shortage of players in the alumni team, Paul (The
Vice Principal), the computer master and 2 boys from the school team
played for us.
It would however be only fair to mentioned that the school team played
under certain restrictions. Each school player had to play with his
right hand tied behind his back and he had to wear a supporter 3 sizes
too small for him. It was felt that this was the only way in which it
could be made an evenly matched game.(Just Kidding)
We have clicked some photographs of the match. We'll try to get them on
the net.
Cheers,
Shyam Balsekar.
